If they are Maxias, then they can comfortably take 2 lids.

I can feel UKRM splitting into two opposing factions; those that declare
topboxes to be the evil because they can compromise handling a bit, and
those that declare them to be good as they are very convenient.

I fall firmly in the second camp. The main reason I've got one is to act
as a Horse-catcher; a fall back in case he falls back IYSWIM. I also
don't like him (or myself for that matter) wearing a rucksack on the way
    to school/work.

And there was no way I was fitting a sissy bar to the Zed!

    I'm with you on this.

If you're carrying a pillion, the extra weight of a top-box is
negligible. But they do make the pillion experience more comfortable.

So, let's get this right... if I'd had the foresight to ask on UKRM, I
would now have at least 3 Maxias in my hallway rather than just one?

    Bugger.

OK, who can make me up a set of Givi frames, cheap like?

Hmm, my converter says 10549.98 teaspoons = 52l
This is, of course, using the .3333333 teaspoons to the tablespoon,
    standard.

  10. Std measures used to be: a teaspoon is 5ml, a tablespoon is 20ml. So the
actual answer should be 10400 teaspoons.. or 2600 tablespoons.

  13. Maybe that's why, if I actually follow a recipe, it always goes wrong and
why I always use what I think is a more appropriate amount (normally
somewhere in the 3/4 of the amount stakes when measured in my
    tablespoons).......

    Point of order Mr Chairman.

Granted, any box on, especially heavy and especially up top fucks up
the handling, but I couldn't discern any difference in normal riding
[1] between my Blackbird with wingrack 2 on, sans panniers and when
    without wingrack.

    Cheers

    Paul.

    [1] i.e. not over 150mph

    They are, and they do.
In that case, you'd prefer the one with the backrest fitted, then?

I asked WUN about this, for the CBX, and he got very rude.

Would you say that was that because it was inappropriate for the CBX, or
because it was stretching his engineering ability too far outside of his
    comfort zone?
