Burnt of this parish has just departed Wunderland aboard his three-wheeled conveyance of doom. Assuming he survives the trip home, the Pan will be his. He's also got a *massive* Vetter fairing that will set the front of the outfit off a treat when he finds a way to bodge it into position. -- Wicked Uncle Nigel - "He's hopeless, but he's honest" WS* GHPOTHUF#24 APOSTLE#14 DLC#1 COFF#20 BOTAFOT#150 HYPO#0(KoTL) IbW#41 SBS#39 OMF#6 Enfield 500 Curry House Racer "The Basmati Rice Burner", Honda GL1000K2 (Fallen apart) Suzuki TS250 "The Africa Single" Norton 850 Commando Kawasaki GTR1400
Oh, got back fine and all in one piece. No issues at all. I really think that the bag of cement made a lot of difference in the sidecar. So that's 300 miles today (near as dammit) with only a couple of 'coughs'; see other thread re cause (vacuum tap... hoped). Mind you, it won't comfortably do more than 75-80 and likes to cruise at about 60-65, maybe 55-60 if uphill. Regarding the Vetter, will start bodging attempts soon, however whether it stays on will depend very much on the impact on the top speed. I've got a suspicion that a 500cc bike isn't enough to pull a sidecar on a motorway. A GT750 is starting to seem tempting...
You may wish to consider going up a tooth or two on the back sprocket. 3 or 4 teeth, perhaps. The Ural will indicate 70, absolutely flat out in favourable conditions. On the motorway, I cruise at 55-60 and overtake the occasional truck.
Or one of those funny little van type things that Clouseau used when he was disguised as the pool man.
Hmm... that's the chap I bought the 500 off. I knew he was a trader but to be honest didn't (and don't) worry greatly. However this looks like a better buy than mine was. Dammit.

I'd have expected to pay that for the GT on its own, let alone with a chair attached. Shame about the Motad exhaust ;-)
