  1. After a 150 mile test ride I'm happy. Now I just need to do the valve
clearences, change the engine oil and filter and change the shaft oil and
    it'll be tip top.

Has anyone got a HBoL I can borrow? Cheers.

  3. Because I'm pissed off with pretending I like the latest clit bikes.
    Yes. Can't be soon enough.

    GS650GT?
I did 160,000 miles on one of them.Brilliant bikes at the time. Grimly
Curmudgeon has loads of cam shims - if you need some try him. I cleared
out my shed today and found an oil filler cap, for one, so if you want
    that let me know.

  6. The valve clearences do need checking, not because there's anything
definately wrong with them but because it's a new bike and they need doing
    as a matter of course.
Any spares gratefully recieved :) I've done about 200 miles on it now and I
love it, it's taking a while getting used to the weight and the interesting
handling characteristics but overall I'm very happy with it and it's nice to
disregard the "shit, I haven't oiled the chain since whenever" thoughts but
I do need to change the shaft oil. Does gear oil come in grades like engine
oil? I never bothered with gearbox oil on cars and never had anything to do
with shafties either so is there any grade of oil I need to use for this/

    Cheers.

Well, I still have a shaftie but I'm sure that I can spare one of the
bottles of gear oil that are cluttering up the garage. Most of them are
    at least half full...

  8. Hmmm... well so long as you like it, it's all good. :)
Next Sunday might be a go-er for me if the weather is alright.

    Paging BGN, Timo, Prawn etc...

  13. Good idea and thanks, Timo. I may (or may not) see you at the BOTTFN.

Ooh, me likes the idea of getting properly oily again :)

  16. Received and understood (1).

I'll confirm if I'm out for sure towards the end of the week.

Are you still located in North London?

    (1) Had trouble finding it as it went straight into the spam folder,
whereas a load of spam from our friends in Nigeria appeared in the
    Inbox.
