I'm now the owner of a 330Ci auto, it's appreciably quicker than the Passat
TDi co car :) .. .and I must admit I do prefer RWD

Well I had the bikes, but you're right not having a car does speed the
    decision process :)

I was chuffed with the insurance too, checking all the online places I was
getting between 250 to 350 from most of them. Tried
http://www.swiftcover.com/ and was pleased to find they quoted 170 quid
    fully comp!!!

Plus if you look at their site and get a motorcycle quote they'll give you
legal cover for just getting a quote :)

    You are me AICM5F 330Cis'

I've got a Passat TDI at the mo and was hoping to go over to one of these
later this year if / when things improve on the work front.

How's it fairing so far on the fuel economy front?

Seems to be around 32 at the moment although it doesn't take a lot of work
    to drastically reduce that :)

Hmm. I'm four years younger, and my insurance is more than 3 times
the price. Mind you, I did drown a car a couple of years ago, so my
    ncb is limited.

Then there's your postcode. I bet it has a much higher theft/claim rate
    than Steve's.

an alert on insurance databases around the world.

On top of a mountain in north Wales, LL11 5TR which is I'd think a very low
crime area. Which leaves our wonderful Chief Constable to victimise
    motorists :)
