Only one of the motorcycles in my sig is cheap and nasty enough to have
sliding calipers. Can you guess which one?

Prize of a Toblerone (when I get it from Mat Tab) for the first correct
    answer.

After lots of procrastination about buying a bike (mainly spurred on by
    riding Champ's Gixxer, Mike's Gixxer, Adie's 955, WUN's GTS, Daz' Gixxer
race bike, but definitely not Platy's conveyance) I finally put my hand
in my pocket and bought a nearly new Kawasaki.

I've always liked the look for the Z750/Z1000 Kawasakis [1], and I saw a
750 on ebay that really took my fancy. Buying this way is always scary,
but when I got to see the bike yesterday it was possibly the cleanest,
tidiest used bike I've ever seem (Elly take note!)

Having covered less than 2k miles in its 18 months, it feels like new,
and I suspect the 250 mile drive home from Cumbria last night was
probably the first time it's been exposed to inclement weather.

The biggest worry was getting away from the bloke's house. He lived at
the top of a long, winding single track road, covered in moss, 3 cattle
grids, and it was about a 1 in 4. And it was raining. I asked the owner
to take the bike to the road - just in case. He declined. Oh good-o.

Oh, just in case you were wondering, it's in the right colour :)

[1] Though prefer the look of the 750 simply because of the exhaust.

    Oh, bravo, sir!

There's a proper-coloured one that's started to appear in our bike park
of late. I agree about the zorst -- looks right in the 750 form unlike
the quad pea-shooter arrangement of the thou.

    Enjoy.

You should have thrown it back at the ****, and told him that you
    wanted a really good stick.
    Oh. I dunno.
