It would appear that the thieving piley scum have struck again.

The whole surrounding area is once again without telephone service for
    the foreseeable future.

The police appear to be powerless to prevent it. I am pleased to
report that speed traps continue to operate at full strength.

I hope to be back online sometime before Christmas.

  4. I'm very interested in their PAYG for that.

  5. It's the convenience of paying a tenner for a gig's worth of data that
lasts for a month at speeds up to 2.8mb that I like. Inearly bought an
iPhone for web-on-the-go but for the small amount of time I'll need
internet access in remote places I don't mind paying 99 quid for the
    modem/dongle.
I'm seriously thinking of dumping o2 (who I've been with since the were
cellnet) for three now, my current network provider cannot come close in
terms of bang-for-buck and three's network is a gazillion times better
than it was even three years ago.

  6. I'm well aware of the iPhone's shortcomings, 3G just being one of many
niggles. Google iPhone problems, it's dreadful and EDGE coverage here is
shite as well but HSDPA (for 3) is 100%
It's the mutt's nuts. I've checked it out.
    That goes without saying.

  7. I had a play with an iPhone in an o2 store a couple of weeks ago and
yes, I was very tempted. Still am but I cannot justify the cost
especially when it just doesn't do a lot of things that a mobile phone
costing a quarter of the price will do better. I liked the IPhone and if
it was 200 quid cheaper I still don't think I'd buy it.
Well yeah which is why you've your T-Mobile tariff.

Fucking incredible, isn't it? BT have just reconnected us.

It seems that the sub-human parasitic pikey scum who stole the BT cable
last time have done so again. I hope their caravans explode.

You're not somewhere up in the NW corner of Hertfordshire are you?
Only a mate of mine who lives in East Beds said that a farmer mate of
his had found loads of copper cable and sleeving in his field -
apparently they'd been using vehicles to haul the outer sheath off the
    cable.

This was around the time you last got Pikey'd.

Some years back now when BT were busy replacing the old lead lined
cables the thieving scum broke into a local BT depot intent on
stealing the lead. Conveniently there was a BT lorry next to the pile
of lead off cuts, so in a night of hard work the lorry was loaded with
as much lead as it could carry.

Such a shame it was standing off the hard standing and on grass, by
the time the enterprising thieves had finished their nights work the
lorry was buried up too the axles and immovable.

Maybe a little too much for bagging Untermensch, but I'm prepared to

Power line broadband. The Gipsie Snap and Pedro will look a shade dusky
with 50 kV up their cheap-ass sidecutters.

That'd keep the loader amused. That, with a couple of hundred beaters
and I could be entertained for *hours*.

  17. There's a lot about the iPhone which makes it not worth getting, at
least not yet. They might be able to address some of the niggles with
software updates but it's more likely to be worth waiting until a v2
when they change it enough to take advantage of faster data transfers
when not in range of wi-fi.

I really wanted one, but I was not abut to extend my contract with AT&T
for 2 fucking years. I'll get one when I can take it where I want.

I ended up with an unlocked Treo 680 which does what I need.

  19. Exactly and while they can be unlocked they're still slow and there's no
guarantee that future upgrades won't have a detrimental effect.
I've not seen one of those in the UK but given the choice I'd rather
wait for the iPhone. In all honesty, I don't *need* an iPhone, I just
want one and covet it muchly although the longer I leave it, the less
    painful it is.
