    as title.

Looking around on various sites and EBay etc wondering what to replace my
    current skull cover with.
Anyone any preferences or advice....Not sarky advice either!

Not into hugely expensive items but something that has low wind noise around
    61cm size.

    You live in Kent, yes?

In that case any lid that I'll make some commission on, because Kent is
    part of my sales area.

Something that fits would be a good start.
I'm pretty impressed just how quiet my Schuberth S1 is, but that's a
    rather expensive lid...

Im looking for 2 lids too (mind you also want a decent bike cover like a
Large oxford rainex, another lock such as Oxford Hardcore, and I'd like to
get the girlfriend a cheapy leather size 12/14 and jeans/leathers). Might be
worth approaching one dealer once I know what I want and looking for a
discount maybe...or waiting for the shows. Mind you I need a lid pretty
    sharpish for my new arrival.

Did a search came up with this -
    http://www.getgeared.co.uk/acatalog/Nolan_N_31.html

£30 per item cheaper than infinity and others.
    ("For orders
over £100 delivery is FREE" as well).
Note as I need two helmets, that would
make a saving of £60! quality.

This really warrants a different thread but are open face helmets like this
any good? I could pick up 2 HJC ZF-8 full face reduced GOLD spec
for same price as the open face Nolans from Infinity.
I guess its just cos it seems a bit daft to have a cruiser, and not have
some kind of open face though I've never tended to go for a piss pot before.
I guess the Nolan also with the lower visor might offer some better crash
protection than other open face. I am certainly aware the name is
    synonomous with quality.

Also come across these Zeus, at M&P
    http://www.mandp.co.uk/?cmd=product&arg=207029
I only assume they are same as good ol' ebay:-
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=46169&item=2488963867&rd=1

Certainly, cheap. Not sure about the bonce protection factor mind you ??

Also love the David Jet but how bloody much.

Get your arse down to 1st Gear Development in Romford, they can sort you
out with all the things you're after at discounted prices. Jarvie will
also do you a deal if you buy everything at once, cos he does that sort
    of thing.

    Wind noise - not this.
    http://www.getgeared.co.uk/acatalog/Highway_No_1_JX1_Helmet.html
maybe suited to a pair of these
    http://www.getgeared.co.uk/acatalog/Louis_International_Motorcycle_Goggles_Silver.html
althought that might be just a tad bit ott

But it might suite my requirements for my new big seat.
I'd be tempted to remove the very hom Chips style tennis court peak though
    immediately.
I doubt very much it's much good on the stale smells, just as fucking well
my poor suffering girlfriends nostils are corterised aint it.

I like it. Big enough to go over the GS. You might want a smaller one. Has
2 vents covered by Velcro flaps in the top to allow condensation to
evaporate. For windy conditions you need to use a couple of bungee cords to
    reinforce the elasticated bits.

    Was that pun intended?
Oh in answer to your question, I think it would have change from a fiver.
    Open face it is then?

Cheers, Is it fair to say that its better than the Oxford Aquatex? The Ox
Raintex is certainly a stage up in quality and it looks
like the o2w may be too IMO. Bit cheaper tho. Mind u I would pop in to my
local branch, probably so its negligible (IRO £5 diff).

No idea. It was available in a range of sizes i.e big enough for my bike.
For 20 quid it does an excellent job.

If the medium Aquatex is suitable for your bike then for a tenner on ebay
    you won't go wrong.
