Hi folks, courtesy of an internet cafe in La Mongie.....

Marvellous snow, great time, marred by the bastard(s) who have burgled
    the Chateau in our absence.

All my cameras pinched (replaceable), not the Macs nor the bikes
(thank God) and a lot of rather valuable personal stuff. Like my
    Grandpa's old lovely watch.....

Bastards. It's not just 'stuff'. I want physical hurt on the cnuts
    responsible.

    Back Sunday afternoon......

    ****. You've got my sympathy.

Whilst I've little of great value in terms of posessions I'd hate
someone to 'violate' my home. I'm not a violent person but under those
circumstances I'd be sorely tempted to put the axe I keep by the back
door to good use; and get on the phone to a pig-farmer I know...

Indeed, mega commiserations. Then again you choose to live in scum central.
That will have been the new digital SLR then? Ah well, there is probably a
    nice new model out already.

I really can't believe they left your collection of XS tanks intact, the
    absolute cunts.

Bastards. I had my car nicked while on my hols a couple of years ago, as
people said to me at the time "don't let it spoil the rest of your holiday".

The personal stuff is the real galler innit?

Rather like the scrotes who may well be back in a week or two after you
have spent you insurance payout. A new alarm bell cover would make a
very nice advert and very juicy bait for the sting.

    Bugger (
Getting the police to do something about it would be a start.

I heard yesterday that someone I know was mugged recently. Despite
him getting CCTV footage of said muggers buying gear with *his*
stolen cards and presenting at the police station, they didn't seem
that interested. Apparently, the mugging offence is treated
separately from the credit card fraud.

cf. last night in the Chandos pub - one drunk bloke asleep in
the corner, four police and two paramedics turned up.

    way today.

  15. The cunts.
**** all those who say it's just physical possessions - the sentimental
    value stuff is entirely irreplaceable.

It's not just the possessions; the sense of safety at home going must be
    awful.

This is the least worst excuse for Mac ownership I've heard yet ;-)
    Aye. I know the feeling.
I though that it had gone quiet. Erm, give us a shout when you get
back and sorted. Can you check your post for cheques and let me know
if mine has arrived and not been intercepted.

Sounds like a town named for the window licking inhabitants ...
****. That's a right arse, that is. I'd really hate that and I'd be
easily as annoyed and upset as you obviously are. However (there's
always a however (and sometimes it's good)) a bit of creative writing
on the claim form and you c/should be sitting pretty.
That's the rub. The irreplaceable stuff, the sentimental value only
gear - and the turd on the sofa.
Perhaps you shouldn't broadcast to the world regarding your holiday
    dates in future ... ?
