You are so definitely management material now. Outsource everything!

So, using this Gmail, how would you create custom email spam blocks to
stop certain headers? Or decide which RBLs are used? (there's a reason
I'm happy to use real email addresses everywhere, and why I get maybe
2~3 spam emails a week. I couldn't do that if I couldn't fine tune the
    email server)

And what about the NNTP, FTP, web, DNS, DHCP servers and the
audio/video/other files shared on the server?

    Ain't going to work.

Did you forget how to build servers in 1998? :)

No, I just can't be arsed leaving a server running at all. It seems
wasteful to have lots of kit burning electricity all day, when I can get
by using only my laptop and selection of existing online services.
I wouldn't bother. Their spam filtering seems to catch everything for
me... but if for any reason it stopped doing I'd go into "settings",
select "Filters" and set up a filter to do what I wanted...

    Who'd o'thunk it!
I get none. Really, none at all.
See, I just decided I didn't want to run any of that shit at home any
more. I even gave away the PC that was doing it.
Nope, I can still build servers perfectly well thanks, and the
infrastructure they plug into. I don't see the point in turning my
spare room into a datacentre any more though.

Like the Sky box, HTPC, ADSL modem/router, everything thats on standby,
    idle printers?
That'd sort it out for that one account. Now do the same for 20. Gets a
    bit tedious.
Really? I wonder why? Oh, hang on, might be because you don't use a
valid email address in your headers.
If your needs fit within the constraints set by the service providers
    you use, thats fine.

Personally I enjoy fiddling with the server software, making use of the
old cast-off hardware, and get a kick out of providing the free service
    to others.
