    hello all.
I've been riding for about 4 months now and I'm finding the gpx very slow
off the line. I'm already planning my next bike and like the kawazaki z750.
Anyhoo, will a bike like this provide plenty of torque at the lights without
having to ride the clutch for the first 20m?
Or is that why people get these litre bikes.

    On a completely different subject..
Does the john smith email shit people?

  2. Z750 will be more than adequate. Exercise caution until your used to it.

  3. To answer your question, yes, but having tried the Z750, I was total
    underwhelmed.

On paper it was everything I needed, but the ride was yawn yawn yawn until I
got over 6000rpm and my two most delicate parts said STOP.
The vibration is a killer and it didn't get better at anything up to the
    redline....

But what are you comparing it to? For someone stepping up from a GPX250, I'm
sure the Z750 would be a good choice.

I have seen a few of those geting around through the Brisbane traffic. They
look good. We in the trucks, call them temperary Australians. Nice and quick
and easy to manuvue, even on the highway between traffic at high speed.
Please don't do that. I ride bikes too but I hope I never see a bike under
another vehicle when I am on the road.
I can't handle the site of a mashed person and really hate to see a bike
    bent out of shape.
Take your time and get used to the power and handling difference. I once
owned a Z1300 with all the trimmings.. I had it for about 2 years.....
trying to convince myself I can handle it. After lots of stupid little
accidents, I sold it and got something in my weight range. I am suited to
the old GPZ900R. Not to mention I like the fact that the motors go
forever.... 155,000 klms...The usual maintenance and cleaned out the starter
motor rotor contacts. Oh yeah... I have a healthy respect for high speed
vehicles, but over the years I have collected my share of speeding tickets
    too. Ouch... my sore pocket.

  6. The Z750 is probably a good move from a 250, I just didn't rate it overall.
At the time I had a GPX750 of 1988ish vintage. Whilst the Z was a bit
quicker and stopped much better it bored the sh1t out of me. I ended up
    buying a Brutale ( http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/album158/Dscf0442w )
and no one that has ridden it has called it boring !

    Cheers

Whilst the Z was a bit
Slight price difference there though. How do you get ot the point where you
sya, **** it, I'll spend twice as much as I intended?

  8. Ride one and you'll find out ! WARNING, if you ride one you will want one.

I was luck and happened to have just enough extra money at the time, but
there's still a huge lump of the price on finance.....
