Slow punctures

I've got a slow puncture on the front tyre which drops from 34psi to
around 26psi over 2 weeks. I've looked for knicks and nails but other
than the usual wear & tear (on a 3k mile tyre) I can't see any likely
    pucture marks.

Before I go and empty a can of tyre-weld into it, is there anything
else that others have tried (and hopefully succeeded with) to stop
    slow punctures?

Check the valve. Put a blob of spit on it and see if it blows a bubble.

Check the valve with a little bit of fairy liquid.

Take the wheel out, pump it up *lotz* and submerge the fucker in a
container of water and look for the bubbles.

Take it to a man to get it fixed proper.

Ultraseal was praised by our friendly local mechanic.

Tyre-weld is meant as a "get you home" measure, whereas Ultraseal is
designed to be left in permanently.

Not a bad idea, the 12R has 17 PSI in the front everytime I come to
    ride it.

    Quite disconcerting ..

With that really slow kind of leak, checking for a bubble on the valve
probably won't work. Replace the valve core.

Try letting the back tyre down by a similar amount to compensate.

  10. Tubeless? Probably imperfect sealing at the rim.

It could be the valve as I usually have to bend the fucker to get
around the front disks with the usual inflators you find at garages.

Might be worth investing in a decent foot pump, or trying to be less
    ham-fisted.

You can get a nice little 90 degree bend that screws on to the existing
valve stem when you want to use a garage air line.

Instead of going around the front disks, try going through the disk
carrier instead - sometimes makes life easier.
Get a compressor; you'll wonder how you ever lived without one.

In my skydiving days it was commented that I fell faster than a brick.
    I might manage a triple.
Well, Sarah's expecting our second child *today* so perhaps I'll find
a mini-moto in the garage when I get home. ;)

Is that the pink one? I've got some of that in the back of the Triple cos I
thought I had some steel in it. Turns out that they were not very deep at
    all.
