Fair enough.
There has been plenty of talk about a couple of individuals causing
the death of aus.moto though, and I think that this has been overblown
by some. It would be a shame if that translated into a collective
taking of bats and balls elsewhere. Having met a few of you, my
impression is that this sort of behaviour would not be in character. I
would be disappointed if this impression was shown to be wrong. Not
surprised (been around too long for that) just disappointed.

I know because I got the series of emails that were sent out and Jodz
and I ended up going down to HobbitTown for the weekend (Marty reckons
it's actually called SlowBart btw).

Discussion was kept off aus.motorcycles and #Ausmoto and Facebook
because otherwise George... "It wouldn't have been a surprise".

I would have thought that would have been fairly obvious...

Zippy and I were sitting at a table in HobbitTown International Airport
(there's some optomistic naming for ya) drinking a couple of Boags draft
when up rocks Betty with Pisshead not far behind.

For the first time in living memory (further back and you'll have to ask
Johno) PISSHEAD KNOCKED BACK A BEER when we offered him one *faints*.

He had a Guinness at lunchtime though, to go with his Guinness pie.
Betty wimped out and was drinking coffee. I was OK. It was my car that
got drunk last night and had to spend the night in Salamanca until it
sobered up and I could pick it up today. It does that from time to
time.
