I think the giveaways are the next cut through the sill. Given the
strength of a sill, I can't see how a bike could cut straight through
    it.

Additionally, the tail of the bike is completely intact. Not even a
scratch or a piece of cracked plastic.

    Definitely fake.

Where's the offside door gone? It sure as shit wasn't punched into the
car, the A post is far too straight for that to have happened.

    I haven't lost my mind, it's
backed up to a floppy disc
    that's around here somewhere.

IMHO, the giveaway is the caption
"155 MPH head on with a bike and car will look something like this. "

Tends to suggest (to me at any rate) that it's somebody's interpretation of the
aftermath of a crash. Oh, and if it was a real one in the UK, the good old Rats
would have pulled the whole thing apart for a reconstruction/examination.
However the car is LHD, and there's a whacking great umlaut on the wall in the
background of one pic, which may mean it's furrin. [1]

[1] What the heck do I know, I am clearly gibbering!

Yup. Where's the hole the rider would've made and why aren't there bits
of him still in the car?

From the angle of the bike and the damage to the rear end/roof of the car it
would seem the rider didn't enter the car. *If* it's not fake.

This one off the same site is more exciting.

I belive it is fake. I'll get to my point in a minute but it looks like
a bike's been put in there and a bulldozer's let it's bucket down on the
    roof.
   ) <fx:eyes widen>

    Cor!

Oh yeah![1] how would the rider not've entered the car? I mean sure, he
could've come off down the road or been pulled off by a crane at the
last minute but you'd expect at least tiny pieces of his kidneys to be
on the back seats or N/S/L windows.

    [1] I almost forgot

  10. Yep, total fake.

Body's been cut in two and seperated, the smashed bike's been levered in
and the car's been bashed back together into approximate place.

Witness the large cut under LH rear quarter and the cutting of the
A-posts, plus the obvious cut'n'not-shut nature of the (Golf?)floorpan.

Think about it. How is a bike *and* rider going to get through a car door
aperture? The rider may already have been trying to bail at impact too.

    I *have* thought about it!
Look, if a motorbike can get through a gap like that then I'm damned
sure the fucking rider's (*if* it's not a fake) gonna make a not
inconsiderable hole in the door at the very least. 'I'd say he'd take
the door pillar out but there's nothing in that photo that suggests to
me that an organic lifeform of any description has hit it. Not even a
    fucking sparrow.

Swot I said innit. I've seen the panel damage left on a car hit hard by a
mate at 40mph [1]. It's consistent with the damage to the rear and roof of
    that car.

[1]He was ok apart for a couple of cracked ribs and some heavy bruising.

    I'd go along with that.
When I hit the TNT Fiesta van my old Bandit left a hell of a dent in
the B pillar. I know I'd been doing 45 and braked as hard as I ever
could (left a 5m skid from the front) for 30m or so ... then I bailed
    over the top.

There was a pic in the local paper of the remains of a little Volvo
that was hit in the side on one of MK's dual carriageways by a Gixer
750: the car was nigh cut in half and was rolled by the impact.

They estimated that Gixer's speed as over 150mph IIRC.

Skidding doesn't slow you down much now does it. ;-)
Bikes are narrow and dense compared to a car.The forks fold back against
the engine and form a plough which will cut through a car shell like a tin
opener. A gixer doing 120mph is going to apply as much force in a
collision as a small car doing 25 or so, but across a frontal area only
around a sixth as wide and with a lot less 'crumple zone'.

A few years back a Kawasaki 9R pilot split a car almost in two at the
Crossroads on the A5 near Watford Gap services. The rider was killed
as were the driver and front seat passenger of the car. I saw the car
and bike where they were recovered to and both were totally fucked.

  20. The door hinges and lock mechanism do not look distorted so the doors
must have been open wide when it happened or it's a fake.
