Could it have been 'staged' with the doors off?

Actually, the crash pics are online, too. Can't be fucked to find them,
but I've seen 'em. It's real...

I think it was faked. The car has probably been rolled and hit a lamp
post or similar. Note the dent in the RH sill behind where it's cut.
This roughly lines up with the dent in the roof.

I can't believe that a bike would punch clean through a door and sill
without taking out the passenger seat base too. If the front wheel did
for the sill then IWHT that the bike would flip up and hurl the rider
at the edge of the roof, thus cushioning the bike.

    Well, that's my guess anyway.

They must have pulled the bike out and semi rebuilt it, because they
weren't going to be gentle getting that out of there, and then stuck it
back in after giving the car a thorough cleaning.

    Not likely imo.

This perhaps helps explain why there's no blood and gore, and also
might go some way to explaining the odd cuts - the car would have been
hacked about to get the victims out and re-assembled for the
exhibition at which the photos weere taken.

Makes sense. Actually, ISTR that they said that the rider was found in
the car after the crash, but was the bike itself? I ask because I
can't see the page ATM - it takes forever to load via pikeynet.

  10. Target attraction. Same thing happens on the oceans, hence the
collisions between tankers on endless miles of empty sea. Mind you,
that's sometimes caused by autopilots and asleep watches.

Ace can probably fill you in better on that.

What? No. It never happened. I was just resting my eyelids, guvnor.
And technically it was the captain's watch, not mine.

Looks like a VFR400 to me. Will they actually do 155?

  13. I was witness to this radio transmission:

"Big blue and white boat. Big blue and white boat. This is the little
orange RIB, the little orange RIB, in front of you. We have divers down"

Pause, while one member on the RIB pulls out diving knife to cut through
    the anchor line.

"Good dog, good dog, go get your master, bring him up onto the bridge,
bring anyone up onto the bridge."

Big blue and white boat eventually starts to alter course.

The car was allegedly pretty much stationary at a junction.

The 155 is an estimate by plod. A bad estimate, too. I'd be impressed by
an NC30 that could break 140 on the road.

NC30s have the exhaust on the left, like the RC30. The NC24 and NC21 had
    it on the right.

I've written off an NC30, I know these things.

Also, the RC45 had different rear lights and completely different
tailpiece to what are shown there.
