    ....and your bike

"A motorcylist has had his bike stolen in Sydney's south-west after
being struck over the head with his own helmet.

The 27-year-old stopped his motorbike on Copperfield drive at Rosemeadow
to have a cigarette around 1am today.

He was approached by around ten men and was struck over the head with
    his own helmet.

The man fell to the ground and was punched, with the group then taking
    his motorbike.

The Kawasaki bike has a registration SAY09.

The group are believed to be aged in their late teens or early twenties."

    Kids these days ..
That's why Nolans are good, you can leave them on when you pull over for
a smoke and just flip the front up. I would guess a smack in the head
hurts less with it still on, and headbutts are possibly more successful.

How could you hit him 6 times as hard as you could? Surely hitting
him as hard as you could would be the practical upper limit for how
hard you could have hit him?

Actually that's a phurfy, all you do is grab the chinbar and lead the
rider on a merry dance as you drag him around if he is wearing a helmet.
don't believe me? try it with a mate, wear youe helmet and then get him
to drag you around by the chinbar, open face? by the side of the helmet.

  9. At which point you go, "Cool; he's staying within reach, and he's got
one hand fewer with which to hit me than I have to hit him."

  11. Try this:

    I hit a guy
6 times as hard as I
on the top of his head

(An obvious typing mistake has been removed)

So he's thumping a bloke who's really really dense.

I defy you to grab my open face by the side of the helmet... it's simply
not that thick (unlike the person wearing it).

While you are being dragged around off balance?
You'd have to be some sort of ninja
Just think of the leverage one has when grabbing your helmet

How loose do you wear your chin strap?!

I can barely get 2 fingers under mine after I do it up... and even that
    takes several seconds.

  20. What off-balance? They pull towards them, you step forward. They push
    away, you step back.
It's the first thing you learn in any self-defence class, as it happens.
