Just been out on alisbury Plains with No1, he on his little Aprilia RX50, me
on the old KMX200. There is over 2' drifts up there with still a good 8-10"
covering of snow. The downside as we discovered is that this 'covering' is
over ice. Shiny nasty *hard* ice. We swapped bikes after a while and within
abour 10 minutes, I'd drpooed his bike and ripped off the handguard. Not to
be outdone, he then dropped mine at >40mph and ended up deep in a drift.
Breaking offf the whole clutch lever assembly from the bars. Arse.
Forutantely we carry a few bits&pieces plus tools when we're out over there
(RAC/AA won't recover you from the firing ranges surprisingly) so a jubilee
clip and piece of strapping now holds my clutch lever to the bars.
Just got in after >55 miles offroad. I'm *knackered*!
The views over the Plains covered in snow today were simply astounding!
As I've said before, I love living down here.

I trust neither your or No1 aren't too badly damaged? His drop sounds a lot
more impressive - it's always a nice thing as the son surpasses his fathers
    skills heh :p

Any chnace of a few .jpgs of the Plains in the snow...?

No injuries. My legs still bloody hurt today though. Falling off is almost
mandatory when we go out anyway so we're all used to it.
Didn't have a camera on Saturday on the bikes, (just as well really), but we
took the dog up there yesterday, the OS taking her camera, and took a few
shots where we were riding the previous day. I'll try and stick some up
    later.
