Started about 01:00, tiny ice crystals turned our world slightly
white. Still there this morning, as the Met Office predicted, about a
centimetre. Coming down in big white whirling flakes now, just like
    it used to.

Unusual for Mid-Beds, this is - there'll be chaos out there!

Started late evening here but not enough to settle. Then woke up this
morning to a couple of centimetres[1]. Very pretty it is.

I'm planning to have another cup of tea then go for a quick spin on
    the outfit.

It's still snowing but it's slowed down a lot so the B660 is my chosen
route with a hoon around some of the smaller villages becoming
    involved along the way.

  7. Plenty of it here in Thanet. One major accident to my knowledge, which has
completely closed the roads around the airport, and plenty of minor
    accidents. Clumsy cunts.

It weren't loike that in moi day. We'd go to work in a foot of snow
and be glad to do so.
FFS they're even shutting some schools round here, there's only about
    an inch or so.

We had snow here a few weeks ago. The coppers closed the roads to avoid
    the inevitable carnage.

  12. Wouldn't surprise me if it were to snow here. Just been out in the car
    and the temp is 8.5C!

    Global warming my arse.

    Nothing here.

Roads this morning were like an ice-rink, though.

I'm glad my CRB hasn't come through yet. Walking to the car and getting it
to the road would've been fun this morning.

We had snow as Pip describes, very dusty stuff. Then it rained. Then froze.

I've been out and over to Maesteg and Porthcawl this morning.

The road over the mountain to Maesteg was still dodgy at 9am.

So I decided to 'work from home' this afternoon.

    Just started again.

For some odd reason the council thought it enough to grit my road. This
has never happened in the previous 10 years. They must have an excess of
    the stuff.

That's really glamorous. Hope it's the old job
I think I would've gone via the M4 and Llynfi valley rather than over the
    top

  20. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Champ
I found myself briefly stuck behind a woman in a Volvo XC90 this
morning, driving at < 20 MPH on a road that was totally clear.

I overtook her and fucked off at a nice sedate 60.
