After seeing the results of a Rover/Porsche/Renault sandwich on the
road mine joins, and being told someone had spun on it, I just walked
    to work.

Shhesh. How you gonna learn unless you try?

Mind you, I was having fun with the back breaking away as I went round
a roundabout this evening only to find a large van parked across it.
Seems he'd been having fun too.

What sir needs to find is 30 Kms of snow covered French D road with many
bends and significant gradients at nearly midnight with not another
vehicle around to impede the fun.

As to backs breaking away, guess which make of car was to be found in
the highest numbers abandoned at strange angles in the fast lane during
    my recent A89 autoroute epic.

Strangely, despite the weather being very pleasant when we first
arrived, I saw hardly any in France, even though I am more aware of them
    now IYSWIM.

    In communiqué <1it53uz.1k1t7dy1evdjigN%>,
Correct. Though, TBF, numerous others of the marque (not counting X5s)
were making reasonable progress equipped with snow chains.

If such a rapid dump of snow had hit say the M62 I doubt it would have
    got moving again that night.

*DING* Well, I've only got 20km thereof on my way home, unless I take
the long way round, but it's all fun, fun fun.
Beemers are always the worst offenders on autoroutes.

  20. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Champ
    Pshaw.

He'd look ridiculous placing his rifles in the gun-rack at the back of
the truck cab whilst wearing a baseball cap.

    Go for it, Blanester.
