Once you get out of our close, you wouldn't know it had snowed at all.

I saw six out of seven accidents in a half mile stretch during the
    hour I waited yesterday.

driving along at a steady 40 [1] following a Ka which then spun in
front of me and ended up backwards into a barrier at the side of the
road. I parked a short way up and walked back to see how she was.
After some discussion I drove her car up the road into a layby and
    phoned the police. accident 2.

They asked was the accident the one with someone trapped. said no but
she said police and fire engine on the way.

heard them but they stopped some way ahead. got out of the car to see
what was happening and turned to see someone spin at the same corner,
ending up in the same barrier. accident 3.
police, fire and ambulance turn up and say that there's another up the
road on its roof. accident 1.

look up the road to see accident four spinning and beautifully
    reversing into the field.

on running up the road to check on them accidents 5 & 6 spin and end
up side by side with the existing car in the barrier.

accident 7 slid into the back of another while slowing down.

at this point the police close the road and put a call into the
council to get there NOW! bit late me thinks.

no-one hurt and none involved me so although it made me late for work
it was an interesting drive to work.

[1] in a national, single track road I normally do 80 on - A600 by the
woods near chicksands for the locals

It took me 20 minutes to get my car the 70 yards from my driveway onto
the main road this morning. Once on the main road I was in Norwich, 100
miles away in two hours and didn't encounter one traffic problem all
day while I visited a number of addresses in Norwich, Gt Yarmouth and
    Lowestoft.

  7. Driving like a ****, part one.
It is highly satisfying making the thing do just what you want it to do,
I admit, but the cost of things breaking and wearing out gets tedious.
These days, I just go for smooth and fast, where permissable.

Fucking horrible POS. I'd go for the roadster type, but not the box on
    wheels.

Oh no. Lots of that 10% wore fucking flat caps, so the system was always
    clogged up.

  14. Bought a Fiorino van as a house car and for shopping in France, when I
    lived near the ports.

Three years later I got almost what I paid for it.

  15. A brand new car slid in to the back of my motor on Monday. I'd been
stationary at lights, hand brake on in neutral, for a good 5 seconds
    behind an ambulance.
Actually he came to a halt on my tow ball.

He got out repeating "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

My only damage was the loss of a tow ball cover imbedded in his grill.

I had a ForFour as a hire car for a couple of weeks in Sardinia a few
years ago. Rancid piece of shit.

I can understand it being crap to drive on a motorway but it was hateful
    around town too.

I'd never consider hiring one after drving a few that have been in for
repair. Just driving them into and out of the bodyshop was bad enough.
