my Wintersun weekend was quiet too... didn't think my busted butt
would be up to such a huge ride, SO - I rode to Bateman's Bay with a
friend, in the rain and fog on Sunday. Was very frustrating, but not
painful until the last 50 or so kms. On Monday I went for the much-
    needed sanity-saving solo-ride option, to Gunning-Crookwell-Goulburn -
but because of the 300-odd kms of the day before, my busted butt
really suffered on Monday. ( iced it for HOURS last night, but there
were still some nasty hot-spots today). I guess it's a vindication of
my decision not to do Wintersun :-( No way I could've managed 2000kms
*sigh* Today..... my butt hurts, big-time. FAAAAARK.

    NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!

Next time, when you get to Goulburn you should make your return via
Bungonia-Windellama-Tarago. A nice little extension, with very little
    traffic.

That was on my dance-card for the day, actually - but had some worrying
twinges. I HATE my hamstring! If it's possible to hate a part of myself more
than my thighs, it's my bloody hamstring, dammit. It's been over SIX effing
weeks and I'm still getting new hot-spots of pain, finding new weaknesses,
getting ouchy bits and just feeling generally pissed off with the whole
    thing.

Hmm, I dunno about the fist in the air, I reckon that photo would look
better if he had a shotgun resting on his hip. ;-)

Yeah, it was the same deal in 2007 with the Ulysses AGM being 2 weeks
prior. Next year and 2010 the AGMs are scheduled for March so you'd
expect the numbers to be about doubled if past years are an indication.

    Betty dear

Sorry to hear you are still hurting.
Now I know this may not be what you want to hear, but stop hurting
your butt over and over again.
Pain is your body's way of telling you to STOP! Or at least do less.

Maybe a few short rides, so you can recover between them.
