So, UKRM can do anything, right?...

  1. So, the Bloodhound SSC guys want people to design a CO2 powered model
car for a drag race at the Goodwood Festival of Speed:

Seems to me that might be what is known in the trade as "A bloody good
    laugh".

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Is it wrong that my solution for winning is instantly buggered because
    of this:

'The standard compressed gas cartridge used to provide propulsion will
be supplied on site at The BLOODHOUND Project Stand'

There seems to be a flaw in your idea:

"F1 in *Schools* is a highly successful global competition where *students*
    design and race ..."

I know loads of people around these parts behave like 9 year olds ...

    1. Determine true length of course.
    2. Slice block of wood into thin strips.
    3. Glue strips together to form auto body 1/4" less than length of
    course.
    4. Duct tape engine to body.
    5. Attach wheels.

Well you can buy them at any good model shop, it's only that at the comp
you'll have to buy one (or more) of theirs.

    Anyone remember "Sparklets" soda syphons?
