.... is it that when Motorcyclists in Melb wanted to protest they were
    threatened with fines, and death??

Yet when a bunch of wank stained hippys with more steel in their faces
than a VY COmmodore do it with no explanation at all, no spokesman,
nothing. they are allowed? EVen given a bacon escort?

Because owning a motorcycle is a taxable offence, you are an easy target
for fines and general road traffic enforcement intimidation.

Its much easier to control and punish the vast 90% of people who are law
abiding than to try and control the less savoury and more likely to pull
a shotgun on you types.... hence why crime hasnt reduced and hippies are
supported... best make friends with the real crooks cos its easier to
    punish the little people.

  6. I'll go out on a limb and guess that he's referring to the Critical Mass
    (bicycle) ride in Melbourne yesterday.

Because an incorporated body (MRAA) organised the motorcycle protest, and they
are an identifiable organisation which makes them much more easily scared when
threatened with legal action. Another factor was that at that time the MRAA
was run by people who were less interested in the issues and more interested
in furthering their own personal agendas which had little to do with
    motorcycling.
