Hunting around for a cheap alternative to replacing the forthcoming
Suzuki GN250 exhaust (nicely rotten and held together with bandages
and Jubilee clips) with something other than a genuine OE system,
which costs 250 quid or something.

The GN has a 4-valve head, and one header pipe comes out from each
valve, and then they siamese into a single silencer.

Harrow's London Suzuki Centre (Derek Loan that was) sucks teeth and
asks: "Are you any good at Airfix kits?"

<fx: scents bargain, nose starts twitching, wallet flutters in
    sympathy>

    "Erm, ye-ess........"

"Well, we've got an American spec two-into-two system, which won't
actually fit UK models unless you make up some extra brackets. It's
just one complete pipe each side."

Sounds exactly like a Honda CB250RS system, then.

"You can have it for a hundred quid. I'm looking at it right now...."

Sorted. All I need to do now is rummage through my Big Bin of Buggered
Brackets, and so far it's never failed me - it even got a rack
attached (more or less) to the old MZ TS150.....
