One of the few bands I have seen who are much better live than in the
studio. That said, a recent female acquaintance of mine was a Hawkwind
completist - which is taking things a little *too* far.

Anything after 1980 is too far with Hawkwind.

 

I queued for hours to see them in Glasgow when I was 16, finally got
in, and they did the whole set without playing Silver Machine.
Well pissed off I was, particularly as I missed the night bus and had
to walk all the way from Sauchiehall street to Govan.
