Solaris Boot loader

I have installed Solaris on a slave hard drive and tried installing a boot
loader on my master hard drive so that I could boot Windows XP (on my master
drive) and Solaris (on my slave drive). Xp boots fine using this
arrangement but the boot loader seems to break the Solaris partition in some
way. (It's getting late, it's Christmas and I can't remember the exact
    error).

I have had the thought that I could swap my master and slave drive
arrangement around and use the Solaris boot loader to boot Windows XP,
whichwould then be on the slave drive.

So, how would I go about this? Anyone know? Is it possible at all?

I ultimately want to have a few OSes on the drive with Solaris (Syllable,
Fedora and maybe some others) and would need to modify the boot loader for
    those too.

There are several freeware bootloaders out there which will do this.and more:

might be a good place to start.

Strangely enough, I'm downloading Sol 10 at the moment, whilst partaking of
my wifes exellent homebuilt trifle, again. The sherry is lovely, but the
double whipped cream and the nicely set custard is the best bit. I'll be
lucky to see my nether regions in the morning.

Are you using the grub that comes Solaris ?

I don't do much in the way of multi OSes, but I believe the distrubted
version of grub can handle booting multiple oSes off multiple drives
    ie:-

    title Another OS
    root (hd1,1)
    chainloader +1
