Some good news for me, at last

Just heard back from my InsCo. Madame has been found to be 100%
responsible for the accident and so I should be able to get my bike
fixed asp and back on the road shortly. I knew the fault wasn't in
doubt, but thought that it'd be dragged out much more slowly than
    that.

Suitably swift, I'd say. I suppose they want to keep you foreigners
    happy.

At work, it's Google Groups which is the enforced posting method. I
think I'll drop any effort at attempting a sig. Fucking web
    newsreader.

On balance I'd suggest you're best to leave it in, given that there
are relatively few newsreaders that don't recognise it without the
    space.

So many more of us will have to delete this:
than those who'd need to manually delete the one with a sig-sep.

I have to use GG if I want to post at work. It's bloody awful. You
can read every post in a 50+ thread and go "back to discussions" and
they're still all unread. If you want to catch up later, you have all
50 to wade through. Then, later on, it marks everything as read, even
the stuff you haven't seen. It makes OE look brilliant. I used to
painstakingly write in my sig (including the vital space) to every
post when I was posting from work, but apparently this doesn't always
work in some newsreaders. Not wishing to offend the high standards of
    Usenet, I dropped it.

I'll not use my nick at all then, then everyone's happy.

Really? Wow. The only other accident I've been in (in France) was my
own fault and I was fully comp, so there were no arguments there.

I wish it was this simple in the UK.

Mind you, unless things have changed, there isn't a "constat" [1] that
one can fill in at the time of an accident, no?

[1] An accident description form, which is filled in and signed by both
parties. Which whilst it doesn't cater for serious accidents (as in
fatacs, etc) probably covers a good percentage of general, run of the
    mill stuff.

About the same when I got punted off my MZ - some years ago now. Took a
year to sort the un-insured losses claim.

I've probably been unlucky then. I've never had a bike accident sorted
in less than two months, when I lived in the UK.
