Just a handful of photos of Champ & Alex.
Sorry Daz - wasn't trackside during your sessions but HooDooWitch should
have some photos of you soon.

A good day out was had by all.
Especially my 5yr old son, Ben, who made the following remarks during the
    day :

"Dad, why do you call people you don't know 'mate' ?"

"Dad, why isn't Champ waving back at me?"

"Dad, is 'Shrek' Alex's middle name or his surname?"

"Dad, who's that ugly ginger fucker?"

Who is completely adorable. In an angelic looking but sharp as a tack
    fashion.
Heh. I like him even more now.
To be fair there were quite a few of them to choose from.

Did he get away with being filthy on the grounds of 'it's racing, they
    all do that mum?'

    I looked like that, once.
Heh. Notice I didn't specify that it was one of *our* ugly ginger fuckers he
    was referring to! ;-)
I think she was just relieved I got him home in one piece, really.

    Forgot to reply..

'Sorry, can't make it, going to Devil's Bridge'

    There.

Had a nice ride through parts of this country I will almost certainly not
see again. As remote as remote can be. No coppers, no Gatso's, pure bliss...

    See you next week then....

Nice. The first few of my "personal style photo journal"[1] images are
available for a sneak preview at:

    http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~cczipw/UKRM_donington_2004/

Much more to follow when I get time.
Pah! With the trackside access I had, I was like a teenager in
whorehouse with a free-ride pass. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was
nice to put some faces to names.[2]
I overheard "Mr Parrish, why is your daddy racing?"

    ....

    [1] "shitter and more blurred".
[2] Obviously not everyone fits into this category.[3]
[3] You know who you are, you ugly ginger fuckers. ...

    LOL - bloody typical, eh?
    Some nice ones there Ian!
You seemed to be suffering from some subtle diffusion (lens flare?)
resulting in a lack of contrast. Were you using a lens hood?
Funnily enough I had similar problems even with a lens hood but when I got
home I realised my lenses and lens extender were pretty grubby.
    Look forward to seeing them.
    T'was good to meet you.

Still - very difficult to ensure the bike even appears in the frame at the
sort of speeds they were doing down that start/finish straight.
Hope it goes well. Though why they wanted a photographer at the funeral
    I'll *never* know! ;-)

I've actually got one or two, including a nice one of him giving the
thumbs up over the start/finish during the second pace car period.
Cheers. No lens hood I'm afraid . I was playing at lunchtime (rather
heavy handedly) with "shadow and highlights ..." in PS. Some of them
do need the shadows increasing, but I'm on such a shitty monitor at
work it was really difficult so I just chucked 25% on both ends. I'll
do them again (on a properly calibrated monitor) when I get home.

I never even said hello to you, sorry! Although the only time I
remember you being in the garage for any period of time was after my
first session when my body was just about ready to give up this thing
    we call living.

    Any box will do.
Whilst I take your points in this, I'd be more worried if I were Gyp.
Look at that fucking great spider about to drop down the neck of his
