At Birch services yesterday on the M62 & there was a few bikes about,
obviously touring, one of them had made a very trick looking trike out of a
ZZR1400!! He had a fluoro wheerchair strapped to the back.

The rear suspension/axle looked very trick indeed.

Bet it cost a fucking fortune to build.

    ZZR1400 as a trike :)

heh - i'm gonna take it nice & easy.....

I have already seen you can get a new fairing for £300 on ebay :)

BTW, are you taking any tools etc?

I can chuck some stuff in the van if we need owt.

Yeah, unless there's a dramatic change of plans I'll have V driving a
support vehicle loaded with a full set of tools, paddock stands,
    umbrellas, etc.

I'd recommend bringing anything you've got as well though, in case we're
both desperately trying to bodge things back together at the same time.

Only thing I don't have at the moment is a fucking bike!

That could raise a slight issue, but **** it, you can go out on mine if you
    need to :)

I'll load the van up with everything i have & a tyre pressure gauge.

    Be a riot :)

I need to chase up Wheelpower tomorrow, find out when it'll be done.
They've had it since Tuesday and all it needed sorting was a plug cap
    and head races.

Still toying with whether to stick some fresh rubber on there before the
day - there's still meat on the current hoops but I'm not convinced
they'll last. And it's only 180 quid for a set of Supermaxx tyres,
    fitted.

Dont forget that track riding uses more of the tyre than road hooning, so if
it's a bit thin in the middle it should be ok. If it's squared off properly
it will feel like shit at every turn in.

They're fairly evenly worn, mostly because they've already done a day
and a half at Cadwell, but they are starting to square off a bit.

A new set will do me for the French Run as well. Maybe even Chimay if
    I'm gentle.

Put new tyres on after, use the trackday to wreck the ones that are on good
    & proper.

Thats what i'm gonna do, last time i put new tyres on for a trackday they
were utterly fucked & pretty much useless afterwards.

    Bring it on..

Watch people queuing in a cafe? Well, if that's what floats your
    boat...

Silverstone, a week today, Bank Holiday Monday.

I see it's still not fully booked. I'd be tempted if they didn't make
it so fucking hard to find out if the noise limit is static or drive-by.

The e-mail i got mentioned a time to have the bike tested, so think it's
    static.
