OK I might test the Raptor later & see if that'll pass.

An unmolested original can would have to be seriously fucked to be over
    100. You really can't tell without a meter anyway. It'll be a lot
quieter at a standstill in neutral than at the same RPM under load
(less throttle = less mixture = smaller bangs).

    Email singular?

I've had three so far, the last one finally having the right paperwork
    attached. Bless them.

Given that the limit for new bikes is 80dB, 100dB is actually pretty
    high.

    Just had another two :)

here's the bit about testing for Krusty..

Compulsory noise testing for all bikes will be taking place from 7.30am
    until 8.30am. (Note: Bikes not
tested in this time frame can attend sighting laps only but must then be
tested in the collection area before
    continuing).

A UK road legal can should pass. According to Arrow, my titanium race
cans are 96db at 5000rpm. And they're pretty fucking load.

Having just paid 800 quid to get the bike back, I think a new set of
tyres may be off the menu.

Unless I get bored before Monday, anyway.

    Not yet.
    Should be 5,500 for a litre 4 cylinder, 5k for a twin.
Mebbe. I'm off for a couple of weeks from Thursday so might not be
around, or I might be chasing my fellow redneck around the forests of
Wales on Sunday so too knackered.

15k service (inc clearances, etc) 450 quid
    Headraces and plug/coil no.3, another 350 quid.

It was the 8 hours' labour that hurt.
