Someone nicked the wrong bike

The local grapevine has passed information about
Apparently one of the scrotes involved in nicking my VFR (recovered
but not yet home, £150 release charge) has gone on to nick another
    bike.

Unfortunately for said scrote it belonged to the son of a patch
    wearing upside downy head.

Grapevine says entire family have been given notice to leave the area.

If I had a BHaLC badge I'd be handing it in about now as I have
chortled at the fact some violent fucker has threatened a thieving
    scrote.

2 other scrotes involved are now in jail, one waiting court for
another offence, one because they were on a tag and police have
    evidence of them breaking curfew.

They probably won't get the gits for my burglary but at least they're
off the streets for a bit.

You have to pay a release charge? That seems a bit unfair.

It's a sodding enormous rip off is what it is. I'm going to bed before
    I start ranting.

Patch wearing = Hells Angel or Outlaws type of biker. So called because
they wear the MC patch on the back of their leather jacket or cut-off

Upside-downy head = The majority of the patch wearers favour the shaven
head and beard look, so it appears at first glance their head has been
installed the wrong way up. On closer inspection it becomes apparent
that this stupid look has been chosen to distract you from looking at
    how ugly their wife/slag-of-the-week is.

Bwahahaha. Brains of the outfit, was he?
Presumably that's the usual "voluntary or in the back of an ambulance"
    notice?
I think you're missing the word "dim" in that sentence.
Did they get prints from your burglars? Just wondering, because when I
got burgled up in London and they got good prints (and the scrote they
belonged to shortly afterwards) they were very keen on throwing a large
    and heavy book at him.
How can they be rehabilitated if they're off the streets, though?

Ouch - is this what they refer to as the Victim Surcharge?
Blimey - I imagined you to live in a country cottage somewhere , not
    the Falls Road.

When my sons's moped was stolen, dumped in a field and torched, the police -
who had refused to act when given information about the identity of the
thief - told us we had 48 hours to shift it otherwise they'd do it
themselves and send us the bill. What's that then - "victim support"?
    Yeah, cheers.

I know someone who had a car stolen. When the police called him to say it
had been recovered (i.e. dumped by the scrote who nicked it rather than
found by investigation - no surprise there then), he said he'd be there
immediately with the keys to drive it back home. No, they said, he couldn't
do that: they'd already called a truck and he could claim it back from their
pound. Cost? Can't remember... I think he said £105.

I heard a story of someone who found the front door open and the car
missing, along with several other items.

The car was returned wth the keys in the foot-well and the door
handles, steering wheel etc highly polished.

The fact the the victim's work ID, which had also gone missing,
prominently displayed the words 'forensic' and 'fingerprint expert'
may have had something to do with it.

years and years ago (back in the early '80s) my cousins RS2000 was
nicked. The cops spotted it abandoned and informed my cousin, but
recommended not trying to re-collect it from were it was currently
located outside a pub just off the Falls Road. It exploded an hour or
    so later.

A bit bloody harsh, IMO. At least over here the cops just tow away and send
    you a bill.

there was a reason that car insurance was expensive in NI in the '80s.
