Dodgy switfel.

Here's me thinking that no-one has replied with answers to my electrical
gremlins. But there are answers (checked on google-groups), and swiftel
decided to withhold them from me. Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy.

Incidentally, it's also hiding half of my posts from me, too.

Anyone recommend a good ISP?

I already don't like:
Swiftel and any other Oztralia type ones.
TPG.
AOL.

I want relatively cheap, uploads not counted as part of data limit, fixed
IP, DSL. Oh, and at a reasonable speed. 512/128 min.

I am with Swiftie as well and will be moving as soon I find something with a
more reliable newsfeed

I can't find that deal on their website.

The closest is 1500/256, with 8GB limit, on a 12 month plan for $70 p/m.

Happy as l;arry as it is very very stable.
As for newsfeed no aussie isp has a decent feed.

 

How about the new iiNet plans?

They've got the 8000down/1000up plans for the same cost as all the other
ADSL plans. If you're eligible, that's what I'd be going for.

One can never have enough speed!

UPDATE | Exetel has posted a lengthy response to the incident, stating that
it "had no knowledge of this until a user browsing the aaNet web site called
us around 9.00 pm last night", and alleged that aaNet had disconnected its
phones prior to taking the action.

The statement also reveals that an additional 4,000 customers may lose their
ADSL connection today. Despite working with Telstra Wholesale to attempt
reconnections without delay, approximately 1,000 customers appear to have
been fully disconnected already, and must go through the provisioning
process again.

"On behalf of Exetel's management we can't express our sorrow at this
inconvenience to our customers adequately enough."

Approximately 4000 Exetel customers have had their ADSL services cancelled
today by wholesaler DataCo (aaNet), who provides ADSL tails to Exetel.

"Today aaNet communications decided to sever [its] purchasing relationship
with Exetel due to an unacceptable financial risk policy. Any arrangement
between aaNet and Exetel ceases to exist from this point forward", read a
statement released this evening by aaNet.

"It is with very deep regret that continued negotiations over the last five
months have broken down with Exetel and this has resulted in the action of
canceling approximately 4000 of these tails today."

Affected customers may be offline for days whilst services are reconnected
by Exetel through a different wholesaler.

Exetel refused to comment when contacted by Whirlpool.

Ride one, you may be surprised.

Seating position good, although I'd recommend an aftermarket seat
(seating position not comfort), boring - yeah probably, excellent for
touring, truck stable and comfy. Would suggest the Kwak ZXR1200 over it

Fun, but sporty ride position could be hard on the knee
