Mworks would probably be better advised to have a disclaimer in proper
legalese. Something that said that there is no warranty but the buyer's
statutory rights are unaffected. That's how I interpret the "sold as seen"
phrase. Also, I would have realistic expectations of a £500 car or a £1200
bike, and avoid the cunting things.

As an aside, I washed the BMW today. Should've left the dirt on as it is
starting to look like a 9 year old bike. Oh well, it'll look even worse
after a couple of winters commuting to Cardiff.

The finish and longevity of these late Ducatis is amazing. Once the ST has
had its makeover I intend that a week by the seaside wouldn't start a spot
of rust. Makes some use of broken arm time I suppose.

    Looking like this:

except that doesn't have Marchesini wheels, radial Brembos and Showa race
    forks, mine will

Actually, I'm more than impressed with the finish of my '95 Ducati.

My BMW isn't too shabby for a 17 year old bike - but it could be better
    - and I plan to fix that over the winter.

Could be just about anything if it's restricted to 33bhp.

Nope. It's an asthmatic less than 33 BHP out of the box. Not
    restricted.

I can see you're all on the edge of your seats with this one :)

I going to Honley tomorrow, a few miles from Holmfirth, do you want me
to have a look at it?

I don't know whether to go for that or the black. As Ducati did a grey
ST colour the black is probably more individual

I saw an MV Senna in my mates workshop in a Grey/Carbon look. It was
    nicer than that Silver ..

I parsed that as 'Morris Man' and blinked.

Mind you, "Sold as scrap. Unfit for road use" has worked for me.

How long ago? - that would get you into fairly serious hot water these
    days.
    That would be fine, though.

Assuming you were selling as a trader, not privately, anyway.

As a private seller it still holds as much water as it needs to. I'm
not a proper bike dealer so I can put wtf I like on my receipts, and as
long as it includes those words in that order I am immune from any
responsibility should it all go tits up for the buyer.
It's a good one, but unlikely to impress me if I were the buyer - I'd
be inclined to back out of a deal that was so blatantly worded against
    me.
