Well if "getting a bike" is read as "getting a road registerable bike"
I think the answer would be yes for most males...

    JL
(min. age for a bike licence being 16ish in most states except
mexico...I certainly had a one dimensional mind at 16 :)

    Is that the ZXR750 or a 250 ?

Given up on the BMW ?

    JL
(green wheels - must be kwaka, two intakes in the frame must be zxr -
I know I saw this bike at the BBQ but there were also 47 other bikes
shown at the same time so I can't actually recall what it was)

There's some serious and very personal history here that makes Betty
sensitive about some things Peter, and I understand where she is coming
from. I can see that without a knowledge of that history Bety's response
seemed a little over the top. OTOH, Biggus' remark was probably not intended
to trigger Betty, and maybe should have been taken by her in a more
    lighthearted manner.

OK Group hug everybody, then we can get back to harsh week.

Nothing wrong with a dead emu, except they smell much worse than a dead roo.

    Think a bit bigger.
Once I"ve got the new toy sorted the BM's getting pulled to bits for
one of those 6 month restore projects. I figure I'll have it back on
the road in about 5 years.
You're right about the kwaka, wrong about everything else :)

It's a new arrival, Glens still got zxr750 bits scattered over Sydney,
he'll do something about them once he stops buying VFR400's, Another
one came home with the Kwaka this week.

The green wheels aren't standard, they're not even close to kawasaki
green, neither are the engine bits that also got painted by the
previous owner. I'll be sorting all of that out, everything but the
wheels will be back to standard black this week, assuming everything
goes to plan, the wheels will have to stay that way until next time I
    need tyres.

If all goes to plan, and the parts that are supposed to arrive today
do so, it will be back on the road this weekend, again, assuming I
don't have any issues getting it assembled and rego'd. I'll post some
    pics once it's done.

Sparkly new chain and sprockets installed when I took Gus for his
24000km service last week. The chain was so bloody loose it was
clanking against the centrestand at speeds under 80kmh.... had been
adjusted and adjusted and just couldn't be adjusted any more...

I never used to. But somehow the Yellow Devil just needed to be
called that, and ditto The Old Girl.

The Yam is just the Yam though, and the 850T is just "that bike over
    there".

The Triumph is "The Black Pig" in honour of Captain Pugwash.

Guess that makes me Captain Dougwash...

Come on Betty, blokes just don't understand women. Especially not the
supposed 'caring understanding nice types', and god knows there's no
    shortage of them.

Hint:- look at the words within the ' ' s and try to make an acronym of the
