  2. Why the **** is there a need to do it all? Plenty other authors died and
generally speaking their works weren't added to by some hack or other.
In the few cases I can think off where it was tried, the hackworks sank
    without trace.
As far as I can see, in all of these instances it's nothing more than a
publisher trying to cash in on or create a resurgance of interest.

The new Dune books seem to be doing pretty well, and J says they're
quite good, although I don't think I'll bother meself.
Well yes, it's all about the money. And in other news...

And the dear departed's estate who will also be raking it in <maybe>.
If he does it anything like DA then he needs to miss a number of
deadlines first and finally die before getting started.

They did a great job of it, imo. I recall the first telly series, with
Ian Carmichael and Dennis Price, which was good at the time but probably
doesn't stand up very well compared to F&Ls version.
Looking at imdb, I'm astonished to see it was 15 years ago the last
    episode was made.

I enjoyed Fry & Laurie's version too. Their series was repeated not so long
ago and I enjoyed seeing some of them again.
