I bought a new[1] jacket yesterday[2]. Unfortunately the zip for
connecting trousers to it is an all round one rather than a short one
    (IYSWIM).

I've turned my 'office' upside down and cannot find the spare zip parts
I last saw about four years ago; I'm sure the dust has disolved them.

    Does anyone either:

    a) Have a spare short zip (the part with the zipper on it)
    b) Know where these sorts of zips can be bought

All responses gratefully received; especially helpful ones.

[1] Well, OK it was new but discontinued. Cheapest Goretex jacket they
had (150 quid), looks well constructed and is relatively light.

    No, sorry
I've found most large markets seem to have an old fashioned
haberdashers stall, where all manner of zips, belts, buckles etc can
be bought. Seriously, they're ruddy useful places.

Much more useful than my "destroy yer own fingers" suggestion! <G>

I'd say pop into your local Gericke shop and ask them. I used to have a
box with odd zips in it when I ran my branch, and most other HG shops
are the same. We used to give them away FOC to those who asked nicely.

Hmm. Maybe that was my problem... I *thought* I was being nice.
