Simply wrong. These organisations' entire revenue stream depends on this
purely administrative "law" being broken. The more that revenue drops,
the more they will lower the prosecution thresholds and the more they
will reduce limits without any valid safety reason to justify it.
Indeed, that has already been happening in some places.

That aside, there are people who have not been "speeding" who have been
falsely accused. The LTI 20-20 and ProLaser III laser guns are extremely
dodgy speed measuring devices and it is perfectly possible to obtain a
speed reading of 58mph from pointing one at a stationary brick wall.

I am confident that the government will lose billions of pounds in
compensation claims at some point in the not too distant future, just as
a previous government did with the highly dubious Lion Intoximeter
breath testing machine some years ago.

Well, what a powerful argument that was.

  4. The LTI 20-20 is so unreliable that several European countries have
stopped using them along with states in the US and in Canada. The
unwanted output was then dumped on the UK and bought by gullible
authorities who had no idea how to read a spec or test a unit. They
relied instead on persecuting honest drivers to prove their point.

The University of Erlangen did an excellent study of them and the
problems with them. They concluded that they were not reliable enough to
    be used as evidence.

To which the solution was to find an accurate device. The same will happen
with speed measuring, therefore the only way to combat these organisations
is to deny them the revenue stream.

I got caught by one of these as it used to be road sensors so I accelerated
    past.

I asked for a picture - cannot tell who was driving so no problem!!!!

Also I was NOT going as fast as they said - at least 5mph slower

Hahaha! Sorry 'bout that - I didn't realise there was another d in another

I'll keep out of your way ;)

So the cops and the judiciary are funded by speeding fines? May I suggest
you research where the money goes, and indeed how much of it there is,
before saying something so clearly ridiculous.
A very tiny minority of those with speeding tickets.
    Aaah confidence. The Anti-Fact.
It got your attention, didn't it? :)

The amount of money they get is not as much as everyone seems to think :)

Quite so. But if people don't want to pay, then don't get caught. Or is that
    too easy?

I think I prefer the solution of targeting employees and burning their
houses or turning their lives to shit. Seems to work for ther ALA.

You absolutely *will* pay more. Even if you go to court, see the evidence
and plead guilty, you will then have to pay court costs. But of course you
can't see the evidence unless you go to court. It's a fucking disgrace.
Which is why I contested the summons I got, and received a SUMMONS WITHDRAWN
    notice 24 hours later.

No, the "Safety Camera Partnerships" (TM) are funded by speeding fines.
If you know where the money goes as well as you claim to, then you'll
know that the camera revenues go toward the cost of operating the
cameras (and installing yet more) and paying the salaries and pensions
of the schemes' employees (including yours, by any chance?). The rest
    goes to Gordon.

As I understand it, they only get the money if the accused rolls over
and meekly pays the fixed penalty without a fight. If a summons has to
be issued, the partnership gets sweet FA. Is this correct?
    How do you know?

    Quite.

Just imagine the outcry from Cherie and her colleagues if a terrorist,
rapist, murderer or even a burglar was stitched up in the same
    fraudulent manner.

Well to be fair, nothing would make me happier than Cherie getting gang
raped, buggered and murdered by a bunch of Arab terrorists.
