Got pinged doing a massive 69km/h the other week [Williamstown Rd.]

On the 20th floor of CivicCompliance$ [where one has to go before paying to
get a Police Officer to sign the back of the form] is :

On the wall is a photo of "one of you [ex?] guys" pulling a wheelie in front
    of a speed camera

Written by the police is "he was dead 6 months latter"

    Was his plate visible?
If not this is just sour-grapes from the coppers!

  6. Like the statement from a copper at a meet I went to:
"I booked a biker for 110 in a 100 zone because there were emu's on the road
that could have killed him, "
When I said "emus will kill you when you are doing 60 k's or especially when
you try and pinch their eggs" , he called me a bloody idiot. and got the
    shits.

No, the rider had removed or blanked it out, which makes you wonder how he
    got pinged

One thing i did not pay attention to was the alleged speed, next ticket i
    will check it out better
Prob. correct, looked like a cbr1000 NOT the firethingo the big fat looking
    model

The coppers should be out catching crims anyway, easy to spot wear beanies
and carry crow bars, so arthur daley said

That's just it; he DIDN'T get pinged!
That's why the coppers were all sulky about it.

  12. Hey, as far as the cops are concerned, a dvd player can be replaced (a
direct quote from a newspaper article). speeding is the real crime!
With an attitude like that, coppers are every bit as useful as an
ashtray on a motorcycle (assuming said motorcycle is not a goldwing).

So you were doing more than 70km/h in a 60 zone? And this was after you
    spotted the camera.

If he didn't get pinged how do they know he's dead??

    He's not!
He got off scot-free and the coppers were pissed-off so they did a big
sooky "he was dead 6 months later" banner to try and regain face.
(and you never know; he just miiiight be stupid enough to front up to the
police-station and say "no I'm not")
