Speed cameras & actual speed

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Nige, Jun 3, 2007.

  1. Need to be a right **** to mount the pavement and take out the mother at
    35mph.

Anyway, it's Safety Nazi Bullshit. Cunts who regularly run into the
traffic are mincemeat in short order, no matter if everybody's doing the
    posted limit or under.

agony for everyone else, yer are the first to break ones own 'golden'
rules. Like my daughters headmistress, made up a rule that no-one can
take any days holiday in term time, stupid fat cow got caught on the
sick getting on a plane. Got sacked too.

Yep, and if I'd had all my attention on the road instead of my fucking
speedo I'd have seen the kid in plenty of time.

Care to explain the reasoning behind cameras on the M4 then?

Oh, and they're *speed* cameras. Only brainwashed Government apologists call
    them Safety Cameras.

  5. That's the idea, I reckon. Since getting my bike I feel I've gone back in
time 20 years; it's like the majority of the traffic just isn't there any
more! I find most drivers do actually move over a bit too, which did
    surprise me.

Not yet, and TBH like almost everyone else I speed but 99% of this
speeding is done on motorways and dual carriageways, speeding in a 30
zone is stupid/reckless. I like many others will have had to pull up
quickly in a 30 zone because of some dosey/dopey/(sneezy etc) idiot
crossing the road or pulling out.

When the cunts did me (pre points) I suggested they'd be better placed
looking for stolen cars or uninsured cars rather than hassling someone
who was driving OK (by their admission). Naturally I only did this
    *after* they'd written the ticket.

There's *nothing* wrong with using a phone when driving *if* you can
manage to maintain sufficient attention to the other things going on
    around you.

When I look at some of the mongs they give driving licenses to, I can't
believe I'm more of a liability on the phone than they are giving
driving 100% of their limited concentration.

This "don't phone when driving" is all fucking bollocks.

Well, i didn't see them & as I say, I never miss an unmarked.

I know what you mean though, some of the driving I see is just plain
    shocking.

But, it's against the law & I broke it, not a lot I can say is there?

    What cameras on the M4?

I'm actually quite angry about this; about 18 months back there was a
big song and dance about speed cameras being installed on the M4. Some
senior Police-**** even appeared on lunch time local news to talk about
it (Wiltshire Constab. IIRC). And you know what? The fucking cunts
lied to us (again). There are no fixed cameras on the Wiltshire section
of the M4; I don't think there are any in England with the exception of
the ones after junction 3 policing the 40/50 limit.

The signs in Wiltshire are merely there to allow the fuckers to put
*temporary* cameras on bridges over the M4.

So, the fucking police *LIED* to us about this. The fucking signs *LIE*
to us about speed cameras being present.

    I could go on.

It wasn't a marked car, they wouldn't have figured as 'interesting' for
my background observation whether I was on the phone or off it.

    Oh, btw it's "hoisted".

Well they admitted there was nothing 'wrong' with my driving beyond
using the phone before I got surly with them (which I only did when I
'safely' had my fixed penalty notice for 'failure to maintain proper
    control').

In any case surely the offense should be due care and attention when
    relevant?
