Speed Cameras

  1. It sounds like you have no neck. Otherwise you should be able to see the
    speedo, with those seating arrangements.

  2. Just live with it, I've been driving cars without working speedo's for years
and never been booked. Passing every other car is usually a clue you might
    be speeding.

  3. No. Just a few switch blanks. I moved the active switches around.
    :)
I'm "average" height, etc. All gauges are visible in the LHD version
of the car with the seat adjusted the same way.

  4. If I had *no* neck, I'd be able to read the speedometer.

    I'm average height; 1.78m tall, 80kg +-3kg.

If I were taller, I'd be able to read less of the speedometer.

So, the question is: why did you buy this ill-designed shitter,
and is the state really beholden to support you in your decision
by giving you extra leeway? Should the highway patrol be
performing IQ tests by the side of the road:

"Well, sir, you were 2 km/h over the limit, but
seeing as you have extremely quick reflexes and
exceptional situational awareness, you could have
maintained +- 0.5 km/h and I'll have to cut up
    your license."

And ditto if you're silly enough to drive one of those horrid
things which so insulate you from the real world that you can't
even tell whether you're driving or watching television.

  6. No car is perfect.

The handling is fine. Ergonomics are otherwise excellent with pedals
    and controls perfectly located.

It is *NOT* important, excepct under draconian policing, that I be
able to read the speed to within +-1km/h.... the speedometer isn't
even *graduated* more finely than 5km/h.
Highway patrol conducting IQ tests? Their IQ is tested using
    breath testers.

Yeah but for at least a thousand or so I was riding shotgun for you!
(And I was almost spattered over you once too!)

  10. Care to cite? I've found nothing further in NASA's archives.
    How is that relevant?

I've shown you the report. It's not invalidated by your inability to
    understand it.
    Ignorance is bliss.
It's not capable of tracking the location and direction of
individual targets so it's just as susceptible to the same sort of
errors; even when set up in the prescribed manner.
