I just caught the end of this on the news - apparently there's now have
mobile scamera on a bike (a white Pan?) in the Swindon area paid for out of
fines from fixed scameras. In a short period it's already notched up 900+
    tickets . . . . . .

Why "scamera"? Are you particularly dense or is it an abbreviation for
    Speed Camera?

  3. or, by cunningly [sic] abusing the language, he's indicating that
he thinks that fining people for going to fast is a scam.

If I had friends or relatives who lived in Fast and I got fined every time I
went to visit them then I'd certainly think it was a scam.

That's not really how we use "sic", is it children? Back of the class,

I believe it can also be used to indicate that the writer is deliberately
misusing or misspelling a word, which would almost apply to your original
    usage.

That would be hideously inappropriate. It's a subjective criticism of
someone's attempt at humour and therefore it would be some kind of
self-referential thing. If you want to quote yourself you use quotes.

    IMO.
