Got caught by a speed camera today in the Netherlands, is the EU now
organised enough that I may get the fine sent to me here in the UK?
AIUI, I may get a fine, but no points - is that right?

I don't think there's any legal obligation to pay it - yet (Shengen
    agreement?).

Not sure if you'll get the fine in the UK - it might be that they will
pick you up next time you go in and ask for money (though - that might
be just if you are very unlucky and they connect you with the offence).

As fas as I can remember- the Netherlands do not have a points system
themselves so even if the Dutch penalties applied, there should be no
points. I think the fines can be quite brutal if you exceeded the limit
    by a lot.

I'm still waiting for three speed fines and one through red. One of the
speedfines was 110 in a 50 IIRC. I got stopped about 6 months later at the
border for a passport check, but nothing happened.
