Speedo mph inserts?

Where can I get a replacement speedo insert to go inside the speedo
(rather than stick on) as the gearing thing I have is rather bulky for the
VFR - causing the cable to rub on the forks as I turn. I've tried
rerouting it a bit - but the space is so limited that the cable doesn't
particularly want to bend that well (or safely) - so the only option is
either stick on, or replace the face inside the speedo.

I can't read the stick on ones very well - plus they're not good for
reading them in the dark, so if anyone knows where I can get an insert,
    URL please! :)

  5. Leslie will be along in a bit to recommend E-Bay: get quotes from the
other companies, by all means, but look on E-Bay too, that's where she
    got hers for the ZXR.

Get a kilometer converter that goes on the other end of the cable, a
    gold one IIRC.

No, there are two different types

Blue anodised goes at the top of the cable, gold goes at the bottom.
Some bikes don't have enough room for one behind the fairing, and some
bikes have a little gearbox on the back of the speedo head that takes
the speedo cable drive through 90 deg to compensate for this. A gold
unit goes on the bottom of the cable by the side of the wheel.

I've got the blue one, which I had on the DT (only one that will fit
hondas IIRC) but it adds about an inch to the cable which is too much when
taking into consideration the non-flexible 2 inches at the top end - so it
rubs on the forks as I turn, hence having to do one of the alternative
    options.

If anyone wants my old converter, they can have it for a tenner - provided
I manage to fit the replacement speedo face properly! :)

Aye, that's where I got the replacement MPH speedo with 1 mile on the
clock for less than the price of a convertor.

It might take a while for one to come along, mind, but certainly clocks
for the ZXR turn up fairly regularly.

I had a similar problem with a GSX-R750H which had a kph clock. I made one
using Publisher after working out the correct angles, printed it on photo
paper, then laminated it. I even put my initials on the dial (sad I know)
