I need some Sperex Tough Black Satin paint[1], but can't find anywhere locally that stocks it, & the only online supplier I've found is out of stock. Anyone know where I might find some? [1] The only fuel-resistant satin black I can find[2]. See that's a bit strange. The online supplier who's out of stock is 'Matra Magic', & that Ebay seller is 'will103matra'. A coincidence? The thing that makes it really strange is Google threw up another online seller - fastcarspares.com - which is a dead website. And that Ebay seller's shop is 'FastCarSpares'. -- Krusty. http://www.muddystuff.co.uk http://www.muddystuff.us Off-road classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger (FOYRNB) '96 Tiger '79 Fantic 250
Not satin they don't - well not according to the droids anyway. -- Krusty. http://www.muddystuff.co.uk http://www.muddystuff.us Off-road classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger (FOYRNB) '96 Tiger '79 Fantic 250
BTDT & emailed them in my bestest grovelling manner[1]. No, but at least you tried. That it is. [1] "Send me some free paint you cunts". -- Krusty. http://www.muddystuff.co.uk http://www.muddystuff.us Off-road classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger (FOYRNB) '96 Tiger '79 Fantic 250
I painted my engine a while ago with VHT engine enamel, seems to be petrol resistant. Good finish on the FJ block. http://www.speco.com.au/vht_guide.html You prolly don't *need* to put it on an engine.
Trouble is it needs high heat (200 deg C+) to cure enough to be petrol resistant. Which is a bit of a problem when you're painting plastic! -- Krusty. http://www.muddystuff.co.uk http://www.muddystuff.us Off-road classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger (FOYRNB) '96 Tiger '79 Fantic 250
