Spring at last

  1. Hmm - mine may have been out a tad more :)
As long as there are a few inches of snow, and a good helping of ice. . . .
    .. I mean . . . it's not very often that extra wheel comes in useful ;-)

You can FRO too. I can't and won't try to keep up with modern sportsbikes on
more open roads, I'm not even anywhere in the same league not want to be.
It just pisses me off to get stuck behind these herberts in towns that's
all. Nothing macho or 'hard' about it.
I don't have a single thing to prove. I've done the despatch rider bit for a
couple of years when I left school, again not 'cos it was 'hard'. Just to
pay the rent until I got an 'inside' job. these days I commute about 480 to
500 miles per week on my tired old barge of an FJ1100. The last 3 years was
over 180 miles per day. All because I can't afford to use the van or car.
Again nothing fucking 'hard' about it. I don't have a choice. I suppose I
average 20-30k per year split between the Yam and the trike and I do enjoy
it. I may not be fast on the grown up roads, but I can get by on the lanes
and B-roads I use most,.so bollocks to your 'see you in the next county'
    shite.
    ****.

Beautifully cast there, young Bonners. Nicely weighted, correct choice
    of bait, well presented.

All in all, a quality catch.

    Well done you.

    And on your birthday too!

Me too. I've only been outside in the fucking rain all day today pulling
    in a 460' run of 600MCM wire.

Thank you. I thought I may have been a bit crude with the bait
presentation but it seems it worked.

  12. I'll come along too. I won't be able to keep up with either of you I
suspect but I'll probably be a damn sight faster than average..

Similar for me, though one of the rides I've had in the same period
was on Blaney's 400 Four. Biking in the winter's for beardy old cunts
    with old Yamahas.

    Jan/Feb 2002 was the last "serious"[1] snow fall that I can remember;
IIRC it also coincided with Tube problems, and a lot of people had
longs walks home in the snow.

[1] as in, it lay, compacted into ice, and people drove like morons.
