    Hi,

What's the best thing to treat rusting springs on rear twin suspension
    shocks?

Presumably wire brush the things and then apply some form of flexible
    anti-rust paint?

    TIA

Give themn a rub over with tinfoil, see if that helps, then make sure they
dont get rusty again you tard.

I've never tried it but heat-shrink tube is available in various sizes
and colours from Maplin or Farnell.

Oh. I thought this was about some sort of seasonal ritual.

That'll just trap water in contact with the metal and conceal the corrosion
    until it becomes dangerous.

Remove any flaky rust (but not the surface layer) treat with phosphoric acid
based rust converter and then start googling for some synthetic rubber based
    paint.
