Anyone tried one of these? Do they work? I recently noticed my head rocking
like the Churchill dog on a blast back from Norfolk. I'm not a fan of the
'flat on the tank' riding position so the option is either slow down
(shudder) or look for a better screen.

Screens have been done to death on the Tiger group over the years, &
the only conclusion is there's no such thing as a screen that works for
    all heights of rider.

If you can't find a way to try before you buy, the safest bet is an MRA
Vario. Still no guarantees, but they seem to suit the largest
    percentage of people.

Cheers Krusty - I have looked at the Vario but it's a lot more expensive
than the £39 I can get a new Aero for on ebay. I am currently at the pikey
end of the 'consumer spending power' spectrum :-(

You could go for the full pikey option then. Go for a blast on a
straight bit of road & hold your left hand against the back edge of the
screen in the middle, fingers straight & pointing up, palm to the
right, so the side of your hand just below where your little finger
starts is against the edge of the screen. Like you're giving the back
edge of the screen a karate chop. I bet the buffeting goes away. If so,
get the cardboard & tape out & use the Blue Peter approach.

FRO - I don't want to actually *look* like a pikey.

Bad form etc., but something like a Vario based around a smoked visor with a
couple of lovingly crafted brackets might work :)

Well no, what you do if it works is send it to Cane & ask him to make a
    nice version in perspex.

And they work brilliantly. I've had one on the Zed for the past 4 years. It
only just survived my crash and now it's not adjustable, but it still does
    the job.

I've recently had some weird buffeting with my MRA vario on the Tiger.
I think it might be the lid i'm using (an old Shoei) I don't get the
same when I use a Shark with it.

Some weird aerodynamics thing going on I think, or that i'm more used
to a sprots bike crouch whilst i've been using the VTR ...

I love the MRA Varios made for both the 2009 and 2010 Versys. I've
ridden standard versions of miy model and the screen would have put me
off buying the bike had it been the only option avaialble, but the bike
I test rode had a Vario fitted and was fine. The stock 2010 screen is
so bad that we've put a Vario on our demo and will be encouraging all
new buyers to buy one as well, as it totally transforms the bike.

Much like the BMW comfort seat transforms those bikes?

I resent the implication, Sir! That is a genuine and germane enquiry.

In a reverse sort of way, the comfort seats actually feel worse than
    standard to me.
