Is that a statement or a report on the condition of Will?

    <snips loads more>

The route is intended to be a more of a "tour" than an attempt at any sort
    of record.
Remember that Nick said its not finished yet, but for now, the End to End
    route is this :

John O'Groats to Inverness then to Fort William via North shore of Loch
    Ness.
On to Ballachulish then on up Glencoe and over Rannoch Moor to Tyndrum
Then Crianlarich and via Lochearnhead to Stirliing.

Next onward to outskirts of Glasgow then to Hamilton and Carlisle via M74
    and A74.

From Carlisle south on M6 for a bit then turn off onto old A6 over Shap
    summit and on to Tebay.

After Tebay rejoin the M6 and continue South towards Warrington.
Leave the M6 at the A56/M56 junction and, via Frodsham and Runcorn, head
    towards Chester.

    Chester - Wrexham - Ruabon - Chirk - Oswestry - Stopforacuppateaattonys -
Welshpool - Newtown - Llandindrod Wells - Builth Wells - Talgarth - over
the Brecon Beacons (or is it the Black Mountains?) via Crickhowell to
    Abergaveny.
Swing east via Raglan and on to Monmouth then head South to Chepstow.
Over the Severn Bridge then skim the North side of Bristol and on to
    Chippenham.
Then South on the A342 and A360 to Amesbury.Head West on the A303 and visit
    Stonehenge.

Continue West via Wincanton, next on to Langport then Bridgewater
Via Nether Stowey, onwards to Dunster, then over Exmoor to Barnstaple.

Then on the A39 to Bideford and Clovelly to Bude.Stay on the A39 down to
    Wadebridge.
More of the A39 to Cambourne and Penzance. The follow the A30 west and so to
    Land's End.

    So now you know.
    Cheers
    Dave

As it's the 25th anniversary of Lennon's death, I am reminded of his
    take on vegetables:

When presented (allegedly for the first time in his life) with
mange-tout in a restaurant, Lennon told the waiter to "put them over
    there, away from the food".

We're also going to stay in posh hotels.
We're very professional, we've set targets. Our next target is to
have the route sorted by Christmas.

The approach I've used most successfully over the years to get from JO'G
to LE is to point the bike south out of the campsite, open the throttle
    and hang on.

Interestingly, the technique for getting from LE to JO'G is similar,
however it is necessary in this case to point East-North-East at the
    start.

I replied to the wrong part of your post. Imagine it was like the
    following:

Me: We're staying at post hotels.
You: Are there any other kind of hotels?
Me: There are also hotels run by the Hilton group.

I like the Nigel Slater recipe for them:

    Finely shred some raw sprouts.
Chop some streaky bacon up into lardons, then fry til crisp.
Leave the bacon and fat in the pan, add the sprouts and fry them for 1-2
    mins, no more.[/QUOTE]

Better without the sprouts though ;-)

Having said that, I[1] cooked an early xmas dinner for some friends on
Saturday, which had to[2] have sprouts, so I fried them up in butter
with some chestnuts and just let them steam in their own juices for
about half an hour. Worked quite well, but like your recipe, would
have been better without the sprouts.

[1] It was supposed to be "we" but somehow I ended up doing 90% of it.
[2] Anyone know why this is? I mean, all kids hate sprouts, and xmas
dinner's supposed to be a special, nice, meal, especially for the
kiddies, right? So where's the logic in making them eat sprouts with
    it?
