doh crap . oem front brakes are doing the same thing the last one did -
squealing as you come to a halt.

while getting braided lines fitted (goodridge ) the mechanics pulled off the
calipers and cleaned the insides and pistons with brakes cleaner, did the
same with the brakes pads and also sprayed a some stuff made by wurth thats
looks like very thick lithium grease - "brake anti squeal"

put them all back together and they still squeal - mechanic didnt think they
    looked/felt glazed.

    any ideas or suggestions

ps braided lines are excellent - put the lines on , flushed and replaced the
fliud with silkolene fluid and 2 finger braking is a now excllent and plenty
    of feel .

did the back for good measure too

my bikes with 14 thou kays benefitted and i say an older one with more kays
the difference would be even more noticeable

Glue fine wet/dry to flat surface eg glass and gently sand the surface of

  4. I agree, the pads have been moved and now must reseat on the disc
only i'd say...pull the pads out and give 'em a bit of a scrape on the
    concrete

That's what I had to do with mine. It's a good idea to give the discs a
thorough clean at the same time, too though.
