ST 1050 servicing costts

  1. I know I've posted this before, but it's not that bad. Simply zip-tie
    the cams to the chain and you can't get the timing wrong.

    The kicker is the cost of the shims. A few quid each, several quid
    each....

    Hmm, there's an idea. It's still possible to get the camshaft out of
    the way?
    Indeed. The last set I bought weren't far short of a fiver each.

    I do have (somewhere) a load of salvaged FZR600 shims. I'm hoping that
    they're the right size.
