Well it's coming along. I met Kev and Si at Ducati John's workshop today to
see the remainder of the paintwork (with the laser cut decals applied). Also
to check out the KTech radial Brembo conversion which has now been
    delivered/fitted.

It's going to look great and should be finished this week, if the black HEL
lines turn up. Just needs the headlights rewired to power dip/high together
and some nice billet adjustable levers.

I'd like a radial type but may wait to see how it feels, one change at a
    time.
Radial clutch and brake m/cylinders from a 999 should work ok? albeit not
adjustable. For adjustable I suppose I should be talking to Ant....

    Yes...

999 masters are Brembo "OEM" radials - as fitted to every Ducati since
the 999 and lots of Aprilias as well as high-end Yams and Suzukis too.
The OEM levers are adjustable on those - they have a screw type
    adjuster
on the end of the pivot. The early Ducati ones were silver bodies with
silver levers but the later ones are more gunmetal grey like the race
radials and have black levers. You can fit later black levers instead
of silver ones as they are identical.

I've actually got some really nice billet black adjustable levers for
them here - I bought them for my Hyper but the blades are about 5mm
    too
long and don't fit inside the handguards! Yours for what I paid for
    them
    if you want them.

Most people want to ditch the built-in reservoirs, which is an easy
    job
and can be done for a tenner. You need a right-angle adapter and a
bleed nipple. I bought some from moto-racing.co.uk
    Brembo - Inlet Adapter (90’ Inlet) (110.3127.20)
    Brembo - Bleed Nipple (105281213)
Just remove the bleed nipple internal to the reservoir and the whole
lot will pull off. Fit the 90deg adapter (amazingly it's just a push
fit as it's on the low-tension side) and you're away:

If you want to stick with the triangular reservoirs, I've got some
gay red billet tops for them you can have if you want. Oh, and I've
got some black billet front axle nuts that would look nice on that
    too...

    those are certainly nice
    Ok.
I was thinking about a q/a throttle too but I expect it's a shagging hassle
    re switchgear.

I think you already have - the 916 line used the Domino single
cable throttle with only 65deg opening. The Domino equivalent
is #352003 "Single cylinder turn throttle" on this page:
    http://www.redracingparts.com/engli...tsandcomponents/throttlesspeedgascontrols.php

The only difference is that it has "DOMINO" printed on the access
cover whereas the Ducati OEM ones come blank.

Check it with those pics above as you wouldn't want to go
    any smaller than that.

    Oh ok. I wouldn't have minded 45deg!

It's amusing me today that a bike rebuild thread is much less
interesting in UKRM than, say, rape )
